Showcasing Made-in-China Confidence TCL Holds Global TV Launch Conference at IFA Germany
The highly anticipated global consumer electronics show, the Berlin International Consumer Electronics Show (IFA), is set to open soon. As one of the world’s top three color TV manufacturers, TCL made a bold move by hosting an impressive launch event in Berlin on August 31st, just before the exhibition. This time, TCL introduced its latest AI-powered television series: X6, C5, and P6. These models are not only packed with cutting-edge technology but also reflect the brand’s commitment to innovation and design excellence.
Li Dongsheng, Chairman of TCL Group, emphasized that this marks the seventh consecutive year TCL has participated in IFA. The company's booth has grown significantly over the years, expanding from over 700 square meters in 2011 to more than 1,800 square meters today. Alongside the IFA exhibition, TCL Multimedia will also unveil its 2017 global product lineup, showcasing the brand’s continuous growth and ambition on the international stage.
TCL chose Germany for its global product launch because it’s a country synonymous with precision engineering and quality. "We want to showcase the power of Chinese manufacturing," said Wang Cheng, Vice President of TCL Corporation. He added that while respecting German craftsmanship, TCL aims to innovate rather than copy. This reflects the growing confidence of Chinese brands in the global market.
The new X6, C5, and P6 series are designed to meet diverse consumer needs. According to Tiago Abreu, a senior designer at TCL Multimedia, the X6 XESS private cinema is a flagship model that combines artistic aesthetics with luxury technology. It features a stunning 85-inch display, inorganic quantum dot materials, and local dimming technology, delivering cinematic-quality visuals. The X6 also includes Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos sound, offering an immersive home entertainment experience.
Beyond picture and sound, the X6 boasts a sleek design inspired by nature and craftsmanship. Its glossy walnut finish and metallic accents make it a true work of art. The X6 is not just a TV—it’s a statement of sophistication and taste.
In addition to the X6, TCL introduced the C5 Urban Blues and P6 Ultra Thin TVs. The C5 targets urban professionals who value style and quality, while the P6 appeals to younger generations with its minimalist design and ultra-slim frame. Both models reflect TCL’s strategy to cater to different market segments with tailored experiences.
AI is a key focus for TCL, and the new X/C/P series come equipped with the company’s own AI system. This allows for voice control, personalized content recommendations, and seamless interaction with smart devices. Collaborating with industry leaders like Google and Baidu, TCL ensures users get access to the best possible data and services.
As the global TV market shifts toward high-end, intelligent products, TCL continues to invest heavily in R&D. With a strong presence in North America and other international markets, the company is proving that Chinese brands can compete at the highest level. Looking ahead, TCL plans to expand further into Europe, the U.S., Southeast Asia, and emerging markets like India and Brazil.
By choosing Germany for its product launch, TCL is not only showcasing its technological prowess but also reinforcing its identity as a leading “great country brand.†As Chinese manufacturing gains global recognition, companies like TCL are paving the way for a future where innovation and quality know no borders.
