II. Process Standards

III. Work Procedure

(1) Preparation: Gather all necessary tools such as insulated wrenches, screwdrivers, insulated wires, air switches, indicator lights, and a multimeter. Make sure everything is ready before starting the work.

(2) If the air switch (knife gate) is burned out:

1. Use a multimeter to check the voltage on both sides of the fast-disconnect switch and the knife gate.
2. Turn off the power supply above the air switch.
3. Remove the wiring from the air switch using an insulated screwdriver.
4. Wrap the exposed wire ends with insulating tape and label the connectors to avoid mistakes during reconnection.
5. Replace the air switch with a new one of the same type and secure it properly.
6. Reconnect the wires, ensuring all terminal screws are tight, then restore the upper power supply.
7. Use a multimeter to test the power again. Only close the switch after confirming that the power is working correctly.

(3) If a fuse is blown:

1. Measure the voltage at the top and bottom of the fuse using a multimeter.
2. Disconnect the power supply on both sides of the fuse or the incoming line.
3. Prepare a new fuse of the same rating or type.
4. For tubular fuses, use a multimeter to check continuity before replacement.
5. When replacing, wear insulated gloves and use an insulated clamp to handle the fuse or fuse tube. Install the lower terminal first, then connect the upper one.
6. Once installed securely, restore the power and use a multimeter to confirm that the power has been restored.

(4) If the indicator light fails:

1. Check whether the power supply to the indicator is functioning properly.
2. If the power is normal, check if the bulb is burnt out.
3. Replace it with a similar type of bulb.
4. If there is a problem with the wiring, disconnect the power and replace the power cord accordingly.
