The SiC414 from Vishay Siliconix is an advanced standalone synchronous buck regulator that features integrated power MOSFETs, a bootstrap diode, and an internal 5V LDO within a compact MLPQ 4x4 - 28 pin package. It supports switching frequencies up to 1MHz and can operate with all-ceramic solutions, making it highly efficient across the entire load current range. The device includes programmable frequency, synchronous operation, and selectable power-save modes, allowing it to maintain high efficiency under various conditions. The internal LDO can either supply 5V for gate drive circuits or be bypassed externally for optimal efficiency, driving external n-channel MOSFETs or other loads. Additional features include cycle-by-cycle current limiting, voltage soft-start, under-voltage protection, programmable overcurrent protection, soft shutdown, and selectable ultra-sonic power-save modes.
