Molex has now supplied LED array sockets for Citizen CLL-330 and CLL340 LED array products, which use unique compression contacts technology to power LED lighting arrays, eliminating the need for manual soldering or expensive surface mounts (SMT) )equipment. This lamp holder is ideal for lighting OEMs, reducing installation time, increasing connectivity options and reducing costs. Its solder-free screw-down connection enables a standardized manufacturing process that enhances the design flexibility of Citizen's COB series of LED lighting products. Molex 's LED array bases are suitable for all general lighting applications, including downlights, architectural lighting and area lighting. The thermoplastic housing of the lamp holder is adapted to the high thermal environment and meets the requirements of the UL496 specification. Molex now offers LED array lampholders through authorized distributors and will offer samples and high volume sales in the spring of 2012.
