Electronic Load Schematic To measure the performance of a linear regulated power supply, we designed an intelligent, digital electronic load that is different from a conventional fixed resistor or variable resistor, but uses a power constant current circuit to implement the load. Features. Its principle block diagram is shown in Figure 1.

In Figure 1, the MCU is the core of the whole circuit. The MCU controls the operating current of the power constant current source through the D/A conversion circuit, and the analog-to-digital conversion part detects the voltage and current values ​​on the power constant current source, which serves as the basis for further adjustment of the MCU. In order to enable the device to be shared as an independent measurement unit for other upper devices, an optically isolated serial communication interface has been added.
