Europlacer's high-speed LED placement for ultra-long boards

Intelligent automation specialist Europlacer has introduced a new high-speed LED placement feature for ultra-long boards. The iineo II placement system features dual placement heads for exceptional flexibility; it can now handle an extremely wide range of PCB sizes up to 1610x600mm and placement speeds up to 27300cph. To produce large boards, many placement equipment manufacturers have to feed the PCB twice into the machine or reduce the feeder capacity accordingly. Some manufacturers believe that 800mm can only be realized in the future, while some manufacturers can only handle 1200mm boards, and the tube placement head can't reach the whole board. Iineo's architecture supports a wide range of board size configurations, and it can handle 1610x460mm PCBs without reducing the 264x8mm oversized feeder capacity. When only the feeder on the front side of the unit is used, the iineo II can still achieve a 132x8mm station and increase the board size to 1610x600m. This is the first case in the market. In addition, with Europlacer's rotary head concept, all placement heads can reach the entire board without reducing the rating.

The rotary head can be equipped with 8 or 12 nozzle clips with a "flight centering" vision system that can analyze components from 01005 up to 50x50mm. Rotary placement heads can be mounted with components up to 34mm in height. The visual algorithm developed by Europlacer can detect the correct direction of the LED. Although this function is quite common, the Europlacer system also guarantees accurate placement capability, because if the LED is detected in the wrong direction, it will automatically rotate the mounting direction and rotate. The LED device can be picked up from a tape, tube or rod. With Europlacer's intelligent belt feeders, each component is driven by a separate belt, completely eliminating vibration. The belt feeder has components such as component identification, micro terminal and bar code data input, pick-up adjustment, and batch number indication for traceability report.
