1 Introduction

The improvement of people's living standards and the advancement of technology, especially the development of computer technology, network technology and communication technology, will gradually become the development direction of future home life. In 1984, the world's first smart home building was born in the United States. Since then, the world's major companies and research institutes have accelerated their research on smart homes. They have proposed their own smart home solutions, including Singapore. The proposed technical solution is the most representative. His smart home system includes three meter copying, security alarm, home appliance control, home intelligent control panel, monitoring center and other functions. The goal is to communicate information-related communication equipment and household appliances in the home. And the home security device is connected to the home intelligent system through bus technology for centralized or remote control and management. In the future, smart homes must not only provide users with a healthy, comfortable, safe and secure living environment, but also users can

Remotely control home appliances and monitor your home status. Therefore, the system has to meet such needs from a remote location. On the one hand, it needs to connect the home wireless network to the Internet, because the Internet has penetrated into every corner of our lives, and it is possible to remotely control home electrical equipment and monitor itself at any time and any place through the Internet. Home status; on the other hand, wireless network technology is adopted within the home, which provides greater flexibility, mobility, and more in line with the simplicity, flexibility, modularity, scalability, and independence of the home network. Therefore, the system will start from the network and wireless aspects to build a smart home system.

2 overall design of the system

In order to realize wireless communication between smart home control systems and to expand the peripheral modules to achieve more functions in the future, the design based on the embedded smart home monitoring and control system is intended to adopt a modular design, which is composed of four subsystems: ARM control center, coordinator, node 1, node 2, the overall system shown in Figure 1.

The main work of the ARM control center is: processing the information sent by the coordinator, and sending relevant control information to the coordinator; installing an embedded WEB server inside, the owner can obtain the working status of each node and control each node through the webpage. work. In addition, it also has to deal with fires, thieves break into the lamp abnormal information, and then send the corresponding alarm information to the owner via SMS through the GPRS module.

The coordinator is primarily responsible for wireless communication between the ARM control center and the various nodes. On the one hand, the data of node 1 and node 2 are received, and then sent to the ARM control center through the serial port for processing; on the other hand, the control command of the front end can be forwarded to the corresponding node.

The function of node 1: the temperature data collected by the sensor is transmitted wirelessly to the coordinator in real time; when there is a fire and the thief breaks in, the buzzer immediately alarms and sends the corresponding information to the coordinator wirelessly; Control of lighting.

Node 2 completes the timing control function of the "electrical appliance". The timer's timing can be set by the client, and the remaining time of the timer can be queried through the network; here, humidity monitoring is implemented.

3 system hardware design 3.1 control center design

The ARM chip used in this design is S3C2440. S3C2440 is a cost-effective CPU chip produced by Samsung. Due to its low price, low power consumption and small size, the chip is mainly used for handheld devices and general. Type of device for the application.

The control center hardware circuit mainly has the main control module (S3C2440), storage unit (64M SDRAN and 64M Nand Flash), Ethernet interface, serial communication interface, etc. The hardware structure is shown in Figure 2.

3.2 mobile phone short message module

The system adopts the SIM300 module, which is a GSM/GPRS wireless communication module developed and produced by SICOM. The functions that can be realized are GPRS network data transmission and reception, voice call, short message transmission and reception, and multimedia message transmission and reception [5]. The main function used in this system is the sending of short messages. When there is a fire or a thief breaks in, the system will send a text message to the owner.

The SIM300 communicates with the S3C2440 through the serial port. Its SMS data transmission hardware composition is shown in Figure 3.
