2. The specific number of LED strips.
The number of beads per meter of LED strips is fixed. For example, the 1210 is 60 lights, the 5050 is 30 lights, and the special is 60 lights. If there are other special requirements, such as 50 lights per meter, this involves modifying the circuit. Because it is usually a group of 3 LEDs, if it is 50 lights, it will become a group of insufficient, but if it becomes a group of two LEDs, it will increase the resistance of the current limiting resistor, which will result in waste of resources. . Therefore, when making LED strips with special requirements, it is necessary to pay attention to the number of beads being a multiple of 3, so that no waste of voltage resources will be caused.
3, LED strips for circuit design.
LED strips are connected in series, in parallel, and in series and in parallel.
The advantage of a parallel circuit is that the failure of any one LED does not affect the use of other LEDs. The disadvantage is that if no current limiting resistor is added, any LED will be damaged, which will cause the current of other LEDs to increase, which will burn out other LEDs. Because the driving voltage of a single LED is very low, most of the voltage will be generated. Doing useless work is also a waste of resources.
2 The constant series current is the advantage of the circuit, and it is easier to control the driving current of the LED. The disadvantage is that if one of the LEDs is damaged, all of the LEDs will not light up, but will not affect the life of the other LEDs.
3 LED lights with a common circuit are series and parallel.
Several LEDs are connected in series to form a group, and then connected in parallel with other groups. It can maximize the use of the supply voltage and reduce the useless power loss. At the same time, using several LEDs in series can ensure that the driving current of these LEDs is consistent, which is beneficial to the constant LED current to ensure the service life of the LED. The LEDs in series are connected in parallel with other groups to ensure that if one group is damaged, it will not affect the normal use of other groups. At the same time, since each group has a current limiting resistor, it will not affect the service life of other groups due to damage of one group.
There are two ways to install LED strips: outdoor installation and indoor installation.
Outdoor installation is subject to wind and rain. If it is fixed with 3M glue, the 3M adhesive will be reduced for a long time and the LED light strip will fall off. Therefore, the outdoor installation often adopts the method of fixing the card slot, which needs to be cut and connected. The place, the method is the same as the indoor installation, just need to be equipped with waterproof glue to consolidate the waterproof effect of the connection point.
Indoor installation of LED strips does not have to withstand wind and rain, so installation is very simple. Take the LED strips produced by BHP as an example. Each LED strip has a self-adhesive 3M double-sided adhesive on the back. When installing, you can directly remove the 3M double-sided adhesive surface sticker, and then fix the light strip in need of installation. The place is just fine with your hand. As for some places that need a corner or are long, what should I do? Very simple, the LED light bar is a circuit structure consisting of three LEDs in a series-parallel manner, and each of the three LEDs can be cut and used separately.
The power connection of the LED strip is generally 12V. It needs to be powered by a switching power supply. The size of the power supply is determined by the power of the LED strip and the length of the connection. If you don't want each LED strip to be controlled by a power supply, you can purchase a relatively large switching power supply for the total power supply, and then connect all the LED lights with the input power supply in parallel (when the wire size is not enough, you can extend it separately). Uniformly powered by the main switching power supply. The advantage of this is that it can be centrally controlled. It is inconvenient that the lighting effect and switching control of a single LED strip cannot be achieved, and which method can be measured by itself.
Currently, there are some outdoor projects that use 220v high voltage LED strips.
When installing, please note that if it is not a 220V light bar, please do not use AC220V to light the light bar directly. Do not reverse the positive and negative poles. Please wear an electrostatic ring for the operator.
LED marquee strips and RGB full-color strips require the use of a controller to achieve a variable effect, and the control distance of each controller is different. In general, the control distance of a simple controller is 10 to 15 meters, and the remote controller The control distance is 15 to 20 meters and the maximum distance can be controlled to 30 meters. If the connection distance of the LED strip is long and the controller cannot control the strip as long, then a power amplifier is needed for tapping.
The LED strips of the 3528 series are connected to a distance of up to 20 meters. The 5050 series of LED strips have a maximum connection distance of 15 meters. If this connection distance is exceeded, the LED strip is prone to heat and will affect the service life of the LED strip during use. Therefore, the installation must be installed in accordance with the requirements of the manufacturer, should not let the LED light bar overload operation. 1, indoor installation

When the LED light bar is used for interior decoration, the installation is very simple. The back of each LED light bar that we wholesale is affixed with self-adhesive 3M double-sided adhesive. When installing, you can directly remove the sticker on the surface of 3M double-sided adhesive tape. Then fix the light bar to the place where it needs to be installed, and flatten it by hand. The LED light bar is a circuit structure consisting of three LED lamp beads in a series-parallel manner. Each of the three LED lamp beads can be cut and used separately. How long it needs to be used can be cut off, but it is necessary to pay attention to the pad. .

2, outdoor installation

LED light bar outdoor installation pays more attention to the waterproofing and installation of the light bar. The reason why the LED light bar is installed in this way is mainly because the LED light bar will be subjected to wind and rain. If it is fixed by 3M glue, the 3M adhesive will be reduced for a long time and the LED light bar will fall off. Therefore, the outdoor installation often adopts a card. The way the trough is fixed, where it needs to be cut and connected, is the same as the indoor installation, except that it needs to be additionally equipped with waterproof glue to consolidate the waterproof effect of the joint. Then use a special fixed clip to fix it, you can use the electric hammer to open the eye or use the plastic expansion tube and screw to fix the clip.

3, LED light bar wiring method (power supply connection)

The LED light bar generally has three voltages: AC220V, DC12V, and DC24V. Therefore, it is necessary to select a suitable switching power supply. The size of the power supply is determined according to the power and connection length of the LED light bar. We use the red line instead of the positive "+", the black line instead of the negative "-" to distinguish, and provide a welded "red and black" power cord, plug directly into the light supply with our switching power supply, "red" color The line is connected to the positive "+" of the switching power supply, and the black line is connected to the negative "-" of the switching power supply.

Special attention: 1. Never connect DC12V and DC24V to AC220V, otherwise the lamp bead will burn out. 2, DC12V can not be connected to the DC24V control power; otherwise the power will be more than doubled, and it is easy to burn the lamp beads. 3. The AC220V lamp can be directly connected to the mains.

RGB colorful LED strips need to use the controller to achieve the changing effect, generally using 4 lines to distinguish between black, red, green and blue. The colorful light bars are generally common anodes, that is, one of the light bars is +12V connected to the black line, the other is the negative "-", RGB access to the corresponding red, green and blue interface or power line. Then the brown line on the other end represents the "+" to the "V+" of the switching power supply, and the blue line represents the "G" of the "-" to the switching power supply (that is, the "-" pole).

4, pay attention to the connection distance of the LED light bar

In general, the 3528 series of LED strips have a connection distance of up to 20 meters, and the 5050 series of LED strips have a maximum connection distance of 15 meters. If this connection distance is exceeded, the LED strip is prone to heat and will affect the service life of the LED strip during use. The RGB simple controller has a control range of 10 to 15 meters, and the remote controller has a control range of 15 to 20 meters and a maximum distance of 30 meters. If the connection distance of the LED strip is long and the controller cannot control the strip as long, then a power amplifier is needed for tapping. Therefore, the installation must be installed in accordance with the requirements of the manufacturer. Do not let the LED light bar run overload; remember to let the DC direct current connect to AC220 AC. Otherwise, the consequences are at your own risk.
