Google researchers teach the machine to sketch like a human to do wallpapers

[Netease smart news April 14 news] Google announced a study for the first time today, Google's two scientists in the use of artificial intelligence technology (AI) to create a simple sketch.

The focus of the research was on creating, rather than analyzing, the use of DeepDream technology and the recent artistic and musical creations of Google's "Magenta" project.

Google uses live-action sketches as training data to train a Recurrent Neural Network (RNN). These sketches come from "Quick, Draw!", an experimental APP that can guide you to draw simple things like axes or snails and try to guess what you did.

"We selected 75 classes from the original data set to construct the quickdraw-75 data set. Each class consists of a set of 70K sketch samples to form a training set, and a sketch of 2.5 K samples for validation and testing. Set," wrote David Ha and Douglas Eck of Google Research in a new paper entitled "A Neural Representation of Sketch Drawings." Researchers added noise data to their system to ensure that it does not simply duplicate the actual sketch.

Other researchers have previously developed a method that allows software to imitate the content of pictures, but using neural networks to create vector images is not very common, Ha and Eck wrote. That is, some people try to use neural networks to generate Chinese characters. Ha had experimented in this area before.

In the new research work, the researcher's focus will be on what people do when they are drawing. For mature adults, they may not necessarily pay attention when they are drawing: “The direction of movement, When to raise the pen and when to stop painting,” Ha wrote in a blog.

Although these technologies may not be immediately applicable to Google's core applications and services, the sketches drawn by the system are very interesting and may be printed on a handbag or used as a wallpaper for smart phones in the future. He also wrote that the underlying model can help artists create works and even help people learn painting. Ha and Eck wrote in the paper that there will soon be an open source version of the model and a set of human paintings. At the same time, in order to advance their research, they allow people to rate the sketches drawn by the system, and at the same time, the system will be trained to draw more beautiful results.

Incremental Encoder

Motion Control Sensor is an original part that converts the change of non-electricity (such as speed, pressure) into electric quantity. According to the converted non-electricity, it can be divided into pressure sensor, speed sensor, temperature sensor, etc. It is a measurement, control instrument and Parts and accessories of equipment.
