Apple announced that the iPhone, iPad global supplier list Taiwan factory took 1/4

Recently, Apple announced a 27-page 2012 “Supplier Social Responsibility Progress Report”, which disclosed the list of global suppliers for the first time and promised to investigate illegal employment behavior. The sudden announcement of the list of cooperative suppliers that have long been classified as "confidential" by Apple immediately triggered speculation from outside.

For the first time, the report disclosed the list of suppliers of products such as iPhone and iPad, with a total of 156 suppliers. Among them, there are about 39 suppliers of panels, batteries, passive components, chassis and system assembly in Taiwan, including:

System assembly plants Hon Hai, Quanta, Heshuo, Yinghuada and Zhengyi Precision;
Power supply suppliers Kangshu and Delta;
Battery supplier Shunda, Sinpo and New Energy;
Passive components include Dafang and Guoju;
Peripheral components include Huanlong Electric, Shunde Industry, and Crystal Technology;
Touch and panel include TPK Yuhong, Shenghua, AUO, Chi Mei, Suzhou Best Value;
The casing includes a splicing;
PCB includes Jialianyi, Huatong, Taijun, South Asia circuit board, Jianding, Xinxing Electronics;
LED includes Lite-On;
Printing packaging includes Huacai, Zhenglong Paper, Zhengmei and Taiyi Precision.

A brokerage research report shows that the previously confirmed Apple suppliers such as Goer Acoustics (002241, SZ) and Lixun Precision (002475, SZ) did not appear on the list. The industry believes that there may be two main reasons. The list is mainly based on the 2010-2011 fiscal year ending before September 2011, and the companies in the growth volume are not fully covered. Second, the list is not comprehensive, and the list published by Apple covers 97. % of purchase amount.

Another aspect worthy of attention is that in Apple's list, in addition to low-profit foundry companies, the international industry leaders include Texas Instruments, Emerson, Qualcomm, Intel, Korean companies LG and Samsung. Panasonic, Sanyo, and Xiafang Toshiba's two companies are listed.

The industry believes that these international giants are much less dependent on Apple than domestic small and medium-sized foundry factories. It is not indispensable to put these enterprises on the table. However, they choose to 'unload negative pressure' when they question the surge. It may bury some difficulties for future cooperation between the two sides.

Some industry players also said that Apple's public supplier list is a good thing and can play a common role.

Industry experts believe that Apple's current rectification measures are mainly three points, one is to improve the selection criteria of partners; the second is to increase the review of the cooperative production environment; the third is to increase the profit sharing of the two partners, Now 2%~3% of the profit margin has increased to around 5%.
